This website is experimental. WordPress was just too slow. So I went looking for something else. Now I'm using WonderCMS. It's a tiny content management system. The theme is a bit clunky, but that's for speed. I rejected cool for clunky. WonderCMS stores everything in flat-files, instead of something like MySQL.

I'm using Hostwinds as my host. I have a VPS (virtual private server.) The operating system is Ubuntu 22.04. The panel is CloudPanel. CloudPanel is free, but you have to install it yourself. In order to install CloudPanel, you'll need Putty. For FTP, you'll need FileZilla.

There is no search function in WonderCMS. Here's how you can search anyway: Click me. Just replace "search terms" with your own search terms.

What's with the name, Redirect9.Com?

Everything started spiraling downward when I just wanted to do a simple link redirection. It took several seconds for that redirection to happen. I was using WordPress with a cheapie host provider. Then I went on a mission to get good link redirection. I went to use baby websites with only HTML/Javascript on a VPS. This actually worked well but the baby websites were a pain to add content. Anyway, the redirection experiment was redirect9.com. I am reusing that website here without the all the redirection stuff.

Note: Baby websites (websites for babies) are ones with only HTML/Javascript. I actually like them a lot, but I need something easier to use for a blog. I have to use PHP for the WonderCMS content management system.

I am a retired insurance mathematician. Insurance is mostly math. Somebody has got to do it. Now I'm an American living in Switzerland.
